Ready for Lefkada?
On the first weekend of June, we started from Corfu for the beloved island of Lefkada. And I say “beloved” because there is no man on this earth who has visited it and has not left forever in love with it, myself included obviously. I have specifically visited it more than 4 times and I never say no to one more visit. It could be the easy access ( you do not even need to get on a boat) its green nature or its picturesque villages (both coastal and mountainous) Or the beaches that are definitely some of the most beautiful in Greece?
All this, in combination with its wonderful people and an excellent accommodation proposal from me, will compose the perfect setting for your next getaway, so keep reading!
Reaching our destination above the clouds!
The complex of stone villas Villas on the Clouds is located in the area of Apolpaina, just 2.5 km from the city center and spreads amphitheatrically on the hill. On the 1st level is the Superior Villa which has a private pool, while on the 2nd level are the other 3 Classic Villas, each with a private garden and shared pool.
All villas accommodate up to 8 people as they are divided into two floors that are connected by an internal staircase but can also function as individual apartments as they have independent access and personal parking.
Their wonderful location, their simplicity but also the meticulous details won our hearts from the beginning, as well as the beautiful way in which it harmoniously ties the endless green of the area, the stone and the blue of the sea that is seen in the background.
The owner Mr. Spyros and Angeliki were there to welcome us with the warmest smiles on their island but also with many suggestions of food, drink and activities according to our preferences.
We had the pleasure to stay at Superior Villa and to enjoy to the fullest our personal pool but also the incredible view! The details of the interior, the welcome basket that awaited us, the comfortable beds, the care products of Greek origin, the fully equipped kitchen and the minimal style were just some of the elements we loved.
The ultimum relaxation
If we relaxe? ABSOLUTELY. There is not a more wonderful feeling than waking up and sleeping with the view of the city on your feet, after a pleasant sleep and a morning swim in the pool. The proximity of the villas in relation to the city center but also to some of the beautiful beaches of the island provide the absolute freedom of movement, whether you want to relax in your personal space or to explore the area.
My favorite moment? 2 am, after an incredible meal at EV ZIN and then for a cocktail at Agios Nikitas, we returned to the villa and sat by the pool looking at the city lights.
